Its because he's Hawiye. 
He supports Sheikh Sharif and the Hawiye warlords but he will not even dare to go to his tribal homelands; the people he supports are killing his tol.

When i stayed in Hargeisa (Barwaaqo Hotel) there was more Hawiye in That Hotel then any Isaaqs
