Ethiopian restaurant in Uganda? who else could it be? Alshabaab Must have capitalized their threats against Uganda. I think Uganda Needs to withdraw their troops before it get worst. Alshabaab's threats can never be taken lightly. Hadii ay dhahaan waxbaanu baabi'inaynaah, I think waa kadhab. Maciyaaraan. At least 9 killed in two Uganda bombings
[Updated at 6:50 p.m.] At least nine people have died in pair of bombings that struck a restaurant and a rugby ground in Uganda's capital as patrons gathered to watch Sunday's World Cup final, police said.
Nine people died and five were wounded at an Ethiopian restaurant in Kampala, police spokeswoman Judith Nabakooba said. But there was a yet-undetermined number of fatalities and injuries at a rugby field where other fans gathered to watch Sunday night's match between Spain and the Netherlands, Nabakooba said.
Earlier, police indicated that at least 40 people had been killed in the two bombings.
The bombs went off within 25 minutes of each other shortly after 10 p.m. (3 p.m. ET), as fans gathered in both locations. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for what Nabakooba called "definite acts of terrorism."
Islamic militants battling Somalia's U.N.-backed transitional government have threatened attacks on Uganda and Burundi, which contribute troops to an African Union peacekeeping mission in Somalia. But Nabakooba said the investigation of Sunday's bombings is not yet focused on any specific group.

Breaking News: Alshabaab Bombed Uganda
Re: Breaking News: Alshabaab Bombed Uganda
It is doubtful that they have the means to do it. Could it be that Musaveni is bombing his people to milk more money from the west? In the world which we are living in today, so many groups are bombing the innocent for political ends. Allah knows best.

Just when you thought Africa pulled it big time the animal fockers spoiled it...When do the world realize that Alshabaab is the biggest threat to the world...They have no respect for human life and dignity...Every single Somali religious scholar denounced their horrible actions...Now the poor Somali refugees in Uganda would be targeted because of the actions of mad criminals.

I find it strange that TL never condemns AMISOM massacres of Abgaal civilians in Xamar but condemns Al-Shabaab massacres in Kampala.
Are the Hutus of Somalia...Hutus indeed?

They don't see it that way. For them, killing Darood civilians, even killing innocent gibilcad was vengeance, but now that they scored against direct factors of their misfortune, they are hesitant to celebrate.Amirsade wrote:hawiye maanta wuu soo aargutey....shacabkoodii waxaa dhameeyey amissom iyo daba-dhilif shariif...laakiin geesiyaashoodii baa hawshan fuliyey si ay fartiin ugu diraan shacabka uganda raali ka ah in la gumaado kuwa muqdisho...
Like I said, the Hutus of Somalia are from Central Africa all along.

Re: Breaking News: Alshabaab Bombed Uganda
hopefully the truth will come out. Ethiopia is a much easier and larger target to hit then Uganda from Al-shabab's point of view. As far as those risking their lifes to help restore peace in somalia they deserve our gratetude and respect. Show me a somali willing to send his son to help Koonfur find peace.

Cirwaaq, most of the Somalis in Muqdisho and Southern SOmalia certainly do not see Ugandan Troops as " restoring peace" to SOmalia. Uganda will get paid, lose some soldiers, kill some SOmalis and then eventually leave- like all other foriegn forces before them. Having said that, ordinary folks in Uganda and ETHIOPIA shouldn't be attacked nor brought into politics which is beyond their control.

The troops are part of the western machine to help the TFG. The country they come from is really not even important. TFG is responsible for how such western/AU resources are used and all crimes they commit.
Also we give too much credit to AL-shabab.
