I don't go out with Diric..But if you are the kind that wears diric outside, nothing is wrong with Baati..as a matter of fact when you are wearing Baati you don't have to be self concious if your waistline is showing or not..

In somali all they wear is their baati's and garbasaar, its just in the west its become unfashionable.

Diric is made of fabrics materials...The one called baati aka shiid is the cheapest and I believe the fabric it is made of is rayon with cotton. Other Dirics called "Wil" are made of fine cotton. There are other Diric's that are made of pure silk...The price ranges from $10.00(Baati) - $1,000.00(silk). Believe me sometimes at far they look alike..But you know how some people think that it makes them look like they are rich..So they buy the $1,000.00 ones even though they are on welfare and they live in public housing..

But hey who am I to criticize? It is their money...

also its a cheap alternative .. im bought like 20 baati in kenya .. whats the point of wearing them only inside the home .. when they look good outside aswell
