Most humans want to live even if it is at the expense of others. SHariff and co know that Ugandan/Burundi soldiers are keeping them from getting hanged and parade through bakara market. Why would they conndemn them and bring themselves more problems. They are being grateful slaves.Having said that, they could have taken a leave out of Karzai's book and start emotionally attacking his allies for killing civilians( as if he really cared about the plight of his own people).

Ultimately I'd like to see Somalia and Mogadishu to have peace, but the current population must be uprooted in order to return the capital to healthy pre-war demographics. Through continuous warfare and atrocity the population in Mogadishu will dwindle and the city will be a clean slate for the future administration and residents. The current methods of de-population must continue in order for change to come.
