Somaliland Desert
Great oceans separate us,
But you are close
closer than the dusty desert air I breathe.
Mighty waves crush our voice,
But I close my eyes and hear your soft whispers.
Many mountain top divide us,
But one memory of you sends me soaring.
Vast Somaliland desert and star filled sky desperately cast you away,
But destiny draws us oh so close.
So close, Somalilaaaney soon you shell blossom
Destiny Fulfilled soon we will sing songs of joy
And Praise Allah as always.
