Didn't want to take away your shine Liqaaye so i decided to post the following videos in your topic instead of creating another one.

Today is a day that will go down in history and will be remembered by all Somalilanders for decades if not centuries to come. From the constant election delays resulting in the opposition parties and the ruling party's comments and actions causing a sense of fear and bitternes amongst the Somalilanders, both home and abroad to conducting the elections peacefully, votes being cast, election results being accepted and a succesfull transfer of power within a month of those results being declared. This is indeed something all Somalis should be proud of, that's if they have an ounce of dignity and understanding. These positive steps forward shall insha'allah be the blueprint to all Somalis, whether that's in Somaliland, Somalia, Djbouti or elsewhere.

Lets give thanks to Allah the Almighty first and foremost.

Lets thank our mature politicians who have managed to keep a cool head and put the interest of their people first.

Lets thank the electoral commision for doing such a fantastic job under the then difficult circumstances.

Lets thank the Somalilanders back home for taking part in this new system of choosing our leaders, by voting and not fighting and making this occasion possible.

Ilaahay khayr ha wadda siiyo.

The outgoing President and his last speech.

Dhaarinta Madaxweynaha cusub.
