Hotel Muna attack was tribally motivated

The hotel is owned by an Cumar Maxamud family. Hell, my dad even used to own a pharmacy in the basement of the hotel right before the war. It is a Majerteen establishment through and through.

We know the population in Mogadishu is unfavorable towards us and I think this is another attempt of theirs to chip away at a pillar of MJ society in the pearl city. They will not prevail, but they can try.

That establishment was housing members of the Transitional Federal Government. It was fair game for Al Shabab, which has made it clear that it is at war with the TFG entity. I don't think this had to do much with tribalism.

This was not the only hotel visited by MPs, the MPs visiting the hotel were mostly Darood or from further northern regions, only one Hawiye was killed. Of all the hotels and lodges in the city visited by MPs, why did they attack one of the few non-Hutu hotels? The number of MPs in the hotel from non-Hawiye background was abnormally high in this case, how did a bunch of non-Hutus end up in a non-Hutu hotel in a Hutu city?

That's the question.

I have no reason to hate Marjerteen. Nor have expressed such sentiments.

I'm pretty sure the Hawyie president himself is under siege and constant bombardment from Al Shabab. Also many hawyie were killed in the hotel shamo incident. Al Shabab is killing Somalis from all different tribes, and isn't targeting any particularly tribe.

Marcas, don't fall for Exec's tricks. He wants to justify his abnormal and unhealthy hate for Majerteen by insinuating that other people also hate Majerteen unjustifiably.

I don't doubt that Al-Shabaab was involved. But they had government uniforms, only insiders in the government could've given them access to those uniforms and the information they had about the hotel's guests. I think one of Sharif's cabinet members slipped the memo to Shabaab about this hotel, but not the many others that harbor other MPs. Personally I'm sure this is Sharif's team is sending a message to MJs that the TFG does not tolerate Puntland's power grab, and he also wanted to send a message to waqoyi politicians who wanted a piece of xamar.

 Still laughing at the idea that Hawiye had to wait 20 years and then to depend on Al Shabab in order to bomb a hotel allegedly owned by Majerteen in Mogadishu, which then finally ends up killing everyone except a Majerteen person

This gotta be the funniest conspiracy theory of all time

Al Shabab wears government uniforms when they're out attacking the hawyie government and killing hawyie civilians aswell. While they definitely have agents withing the TFG, those agents are aiding and abetting Al Shabab in order to topple the government as a whole and not attack certain tribes. Shariff and his government at this moment in time are struggling for dear life, do you honestly think they would hatch a plot of cause tribal strife between themselves and the Northern governments in Puntland and Somaliland? and why would they bother killing the waqoyi politicians, when they have zero chance of ever politically threatening Shariff in Mogadishu since their people have rejected the notion of Somalinimo and have broken off from the rest of Somalia? Furthermore, don't you agree that this is probably another senseless act of violence against Somalis as a people by a bunch of brainwashed fools who are being controlled by Arab and Afghani masters? Shouldn't we direct our ire at these nations instead of our fellow Somalis?

It is possible. Where was the hotel located in Mogadishu?

You may be on to something, after reading some articles about this attack I have been told that it took the Shariff government one hour to respond to the attack while it was happening, could've been a setup this is indeed plausible.
