SNet daters and married lot, question

I was going to ask all the SNetters about their opinion on modern day chivalry; whether a man should open the car door for a lady and whether a lady should expect it but then in this day and age it could be argued that that is only relevant in romantically involved couples, or is it?
Married men, do you open the car door and pull out the chair for your lady?
Married women, do you expect him to do that or do you feel like you are an independent strong woman who doesn't need...?
Daters, you may give your opinion
ps: Every man should hold the door for any woman, guys who don't just come across as lame.

I support gender equality. "To each his own door"...that's the slogan.

Certain women,
'the emancipated type' actually take offence to any form of chivalry. Having said that, its quite corny and not very urbane to open doors for women in this day and age. Treat them equally! That is what they want somaha?

I don't date so much, but I would find it weird if after parking the car and I get out and I'm half way to wherever were going and I turn around and I think I lost her, just to find out she didn't know that pulling the handle is the way to open the door.
I hold the door for everyone when it is appropriate.
I'm more fashioned and I have a different type understanding of chivalry than the western one.
