Im starting to harbour deep suspicions that Imam Faisal is politically motivated. This mosque project seems to have a lot of black holes. I am saying this irregardless of the reaction of a bunch of babboons demonstrating in NYC.

1. He is a self declared moderate Muslim who is on the good books with the Obama and Bush previously. Here is the reference: In Manhattan, "his sermons were infused with a 'sweet spirituality,' not focused on 'rules and regulations' or politics," according to Adem Carroll, director of the Muslim Consultative Network, an advocacy group based in New York

2. Why did he choose the area at Ground Zero when he literally could have built a mosque anywhere in Manhattan without any controversy?

3. Why is this dude SO adamant on that same location? Its not a holy site, he wont get any extra reward from Allah by building on that same spot.


Conclusion:

Imam Faisal and his idea to buld Al Masjid al Dharaar is a pawn being used by the US government to build a mosque on this site to incite hatred against Muslims. Its that simple. I really sincerely cannot find any other reason or justifiable excuse for his adamant attitude to this situation. Beware folks, it is the latest tactic of the enemy to arouse hatred and I believe Imam Faisal is also an enemy of God.

Many Muslims work in the banks/financial organisations in the area. They need a proper place of worship.

Ive been to NYC and that area many times in my childhood years, these guys could just as easily built this masjid a couple of blocks away (10 minutes) without anyone batting an eyelid. It seems that they chose this specific location for a political reason.

Critical analysis hasnt been reduced to anything, it brings out the facts and then concludes with the facts (according to the writer).

I agree, i watched his interview with soledad o'brien last night on CNN....he's full of nonsense...this whole thing looks to be cooked up to stir hatred against islam, i mean americans mostly run on the memory of "headline news" when it comes to politics and contraversy...things were finally settling down on the islam boogyman front as most americans were able to differentiate between agenda driven political islam and muslims as individuals.....but oh no, this cannot happen, Americans must not forget to hate Muslims/Islam so they need a strong reminder...... just look at the timing of this whole thing..so close to "911"...give me a freakin' break....

Zulaika you hit the nail on the head. The timing of this "Masjid" is conveniently around the time of Sept 11th and this guy Imam Faisal who used to be the most apologetic asshole and has all of a sudden become the holy hero and defied the wish of the people and is adamant on a mosque being built on that controversial spot. Gimme a break

It's too bad that stupidity isn't painful. Look these fools who are blaming the Sheikh and not seeing people who are protesting against mosques been built all over the U.S from Tennessee to California and some even burning the Holy Qur'an.

He cannot win can he? Muslims want to label him a moderate because he was an advisor to Bush, zionists and republicans want him linked to extremism/ al qaeda. This man can build a mosque where his heart desires becaus he is not breaking the law, simple as. Are you going to forego your rigts because finally "things were settling down" and the Americans were starting to accept you? You dont have to support this mosque, but to demonise this man in the process is shameful.

If they hate us cause we built a misaajid then so be it. Not all of the people hate the idea either, a lot of people have defended it, and the haters will always hate. U can't stop that.

There's no holocaust coming because of Misaajid in New York, that's ludicrous. Don't read into your conspiracy too much

You asked a good question, he cannot win can he? Allah advises us Muslims to either be a complete Muslim or just be a non Muslim. Our religion is not half half. So this guy will never win because he is trying to curry favours on both sides, he wants to be with Bush and his cronies and he also acts as if he has the interests of the Muslims at heart.
I havent demonised him, he has demonised himself with this shocking charade and attempt to fan the flames fo hatred against the Muslims.

Why hasnt he built the Masjid at any other location? Its almost as if this imbecile WANTED it to be like this.
