Awesome. It looks like it will be a decent sized mosque. Peace is a precursor to progress.

kool, is this charity work or something the locals are doing completely by themselves ? im asking becaue although i think its great initiative, it really looks disorganised. seems like someone put down a rock and random people followed suit, looking at the Macawiis and the Gilbaab with no safety precautions.
Beled Xawo is the next best Marexan city when it comes to importing equipment and workers or construction engineers, i dont see why they are building like it is from the dark ages.

There is already a very large mosque in Beled Xawo. The construction of this mosque was the idea of one of the men mentioned in the article above. There was another article from few months ago about this same mosque and they explained everything in that piece. As for how the mosque is being built, most of the buildings in somalia are built in a similar fashion.
People will look for the cheapest options available to them and things like safety and head gear are the last things on their mind. I guess it depends entirely on who is funding the project and how much they are willing to spend on it. There is Al-Amin Construction company which operates in Beled Xawo and most of Gedo but I am thinking they were not the best choice in terms of cost for the men behind this project.
