Ramadhan and Somalis?

Post by Basra- »

Kaleey----Year comes and Goes--- Somalis always look forward to Ramadhan, Fast and in that one single month, they are the best of muslims. Then, their old sinful way beging Eid Night----alcohol, partying--- single mother entertaining single mother chasers, and that wasaqniimo that somalis do. This leaves me to ask --Are Somalis worshiping a month ritual or ALlaah? I mean, Salat is always consistent in this month, and the moment it ends--most of them miss salat and that holly look that they walk around you. I am kinda puzzled- Worshiping ALlaah or Month of Ramadhan--- is this a legitimate question? :|

Mr smith

I am glad i am not participating in it. But i fear and feel for my people. This is pure shirik and blasphemy. I mean, the Eid day is more valuable than the entire 30 days ramadhaan. Thats disgusting. I mean, arent we supposed to be humbled by fasting, paying zakat, and being pure? Somalis, literally take the 'devil is locked in the month of ramadhan' really seriously. They psychologically think they can be in good manners because the devil is locked away. I say, there is also the element of society presure. Most of these somalis fast because of somali relative presure.

Well, that is different my dear. I am not like u --u breath and live Somalia and Somalis. I am merely currently issue relatable. This is probably my first and only thread about 'fearin and feeling' for Somalis. (unitl next ramadhan, that is lol)

My distinction betweem you and I, is--- i do not post 10 topips a month to discuss the woes of somalia and somalis. I only talk about somalis on a related current issue topic. I mean, dont get me wrong, i am some what patriotic of Somalia and somalis-- but not to a degree where i wake up and sleep thinking of them. (like u mr smith lol)

I would say, i am a healthy patriot and u r not. Apathetic and disengaged shows a lack of consistent caring---and that is what i am. And that is what i was advicing u to be.

Somalis aren't good for anything bottom line.

When they are religious [pretend actually, because only about 3% of Somalis really follow the religion as it should be and I am lucky to know a few, Thank you ALLAH (swt)] they behave like they are one of the Prophets! And judge people without reason.

Some Somalis are also psychologically drained, they are liars and cannot help themselves. So they want to please others, but deep down inside they hate the person they are. So they think "if I look good to this person, or that person I am good" but if they only knew the only judge and the everlasting judge is ALLAH (swt). How many evil people I have come across who want nothing good for others, but are always the first ones at the Masjid kissing everyone in sight for no apparent reason but to show off.

If Somalis were good decent people, Somalia wouldn't be where it is. Sometimes you got to look at something and see if for what it is. The older generation of Somalis who will die in about 5-20 years are the only good things left.

I think you are projecting your ideas on me. You are just as much of a patriot. I am more of a constructionist and I think you are more of a social critic. Self-criticism is not necessarily a bad thing.

I've noticed that every single Somali I saw seemed V.religious (Look wise).
Drug dealers taking a break from shotting and wearing their khamiis.
Young females (who usually dont cover up) fully covering up
The local undercover chicks trying to control their wild ways.. And only doing their thing after Afur
Ciyaal Suugs wearing their Khamiis trying to lower their gaze.. and doing their thing after Afur.

Why cant ramadan be everyday :|

You shouldnt expose the sins of others. If Allah has covered them up from others, then that is indeed a mercy from Allah.
