Assalamu aleykum,

So is there, khasaatan those somali's in the west ? And from this can we say that there is a high percentage of single mothers ?.. in the place im at, there seems to be many of these single parents.But i dont know if this trend is spread over all places where there are lots of somali's.

Also how do these single mothers view polygamous relationships? .. as a solution for the situation they find themselves in.

and how do you people on this forum view this issue, is this a problem in the community.

We have plenty of single mothers here.

So you want them to share a husband when they already left a loser?

In Carabaha there is very little divorce amongst the Somali people, maybe gurey can correct me if I'm wrong.I believe it's just mainly in the west where this problem is so widespread.The main reason is caydha.It is very shocking, wallahi I would advice the sisters never ever marry a man caydha qaata.Caydha means men are not 'masuul' of their wives and children', Caydha means 'free 1 bedroom house/flat for the ''estranged'' husband, Caydha means free 45 quid/week allowance which many men are more than delighted to live on for the rest of their insignificant lives. You cannot expect to be respected by someone who doesn't respect himself.
