You're so funny hanad That photo is taken from the BBC.
Journalist Rageh Omaar seen here with Hassan, Adrian and Rita.
Photographer Cambridge Jones roped in celebrities to do a photo shoot with orphan children for an adoption campaign. The idea for the photo shoot came from a similar campaign in the US.
Guys may I just point out one thing to you especially the thread maker, Enlightened-sista (though you're enlightened mashaa allah) I will try to enlighten you further by informing you of the fact that the guy's name is not Raageh Cumar but it is Raageh Omaar. The name Omaar is Somaali name, different from the more common Arab name (Cumar). The name Omaar is derived from a Somali word used to describe a form of colour namely the brown colour, or something brownish. It is also I believe the name of a type of a tree, which is a tree that appears more brownish than the average tree. In modern day Somali however this word is not used or one may hardly ever come across it in day to day conversation. You may see it in SUUGAANTA (Somali poetry/literature). its pronunciation is totally different though when the name Cumar is written in English (omar as is sometimes spelled) some maybe forgiven for pronouncing cumar the same as Omaar or equating Omaar to Cumar and this is a very common mistake made by many Somalis and non speakers of Somali language alike. I myself have made this very mistake many times in the past, until I was corrected by a neighbour of mine who is well versed in Somali language and former teacher of Somali literature(Suugaanta as it is known in Somali).
And as for my 2cents for the topic, MASHAA ALLAH Mr. R Omaar has been blessed with beautiful children from a white skinned mother as has been rightly pointed out in response to hanad-mn's comments and photos (I think he only suggested otherwise in an apparent attempt at humour loool). May Allah give them happy, peaceful and prosperous lives and for all the family as well as for all Somalis children and their families wherever they maybe.
