Did you know that Nursing is actually pretty difficult and most *somali females* drop out within the first two years. Fact!

80% of the Somali females I know *who have done higher education* have studied nursing.. I would say more than 60% have dropped out and took early years teaching instead.. WHYO?.. because it was difficult and quiet a few of these sisters annually do speeches at their local community preaching about this.. :|

They drop out because it makes sense. University is no place for a xalimo!

Lets not take my comment out of context. I am pretty sure my daughters will be educated, but then again, education doesnt necessarily mean doing a nursing degree  ! Come to thinking of it, by the time I have children, technology will have improved to such an extent that I will select the sex of the child accordingly.

Somali females drop out of nursing courses at university because doing health and social care is the fill the period between being plucked for marriage and finishing secondary school. Women with more serious ambition study more serious courses. Women with more potential usually do not deluded themselves with courses like nursing.
