Burning the quran

Post by *Nobleman* »

Bit late regarding this topic but I found this very wise quote and thought I would share.

"If they burn a book have no worries...the book will feel no pain so neither should you! True destruction of the Quran cannot be done with fire. It is destroyed when we fail to remember and practice its lessons in our daily lives. If this occurs, then it is another fire that you should truly be concerned about." - Lupe Fiasco

During all that quran burning hysteria all it did was prove that muslims priorities are messed up generally. How the hell does buring one quran evoke more emotion in muslims and more muslims leaders speak out then say the continued occupation of muslim lands.

And if i receive one more chain text or blackberry message from some ignorant muppet saying some ish like 'read surutal yassin and ayah kursi the kufar are planning to burn the quran tonight' or ' the pastor that was burning the quran has passed away today, allahu akbar' seriously wtf :lol:

The overwhelming majority of Muslims ignored this show by the attention whore pastor, except for a few radicals in Pakistan who are seemingly always protesting about one thing or another and this group's protest were sensationalized by the ratings hungry media who are always out to portray Muslims in a negative light to please their Yehudi board members.

There was a soldier in the Bysantine empire who insulted a Muslim woman and when that Muslim woman reported the insult, Muslims launched a Jihad against that empire and completely brought it under Muslim control.

We should also go back and see how Umar Bin Khadab's emotions were when a Yahuud man came to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and yelled at the prophet (pbuh). Omar (may Allah be pleased be him) wanted to take his sword and cut the neck of the Yahuudi but he was stopped by the prophet (peace be upon him). According to the Imam that I heard from that Hadith, it was related to a debt but emotions of Omar (ra) and the cautious approach of the prophet (peace be upon him) are good examples how we deal with provocations like these.

The attacks on our beloved prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the burning of the quran are orchestrated by people who at war with the Islamic faith. We Muslims should understand it in that context.

I am not calling for violence but people who are attacking Islamic faith should understand that their intentions are known and Islam has sons and daughters who speak up on its behalf. Enough with the so-called Muslims who are concerned how the defunct, racist, and anti-Islam Media betrayed us. As Muslims, we should be concerned about the attacks on our deen than worrying about how we are being seen or potrayed.

I personally thought it was a good idea that the mad pastor wanted to burn the quran. :mrgreen:
When we were kids, we were taught to burn the quran if the pages had come off or the book was falling apart rather than throwing it in the bin or shredding it. So, we must encourage these gaalo to burn the quran at every opportunity they get. At least it's better than any other evil ideas they may have. Having said all of that, this story is (and always was) a storm in a tea cup.

assalamu caleykum,

You hit the nail on the head bro. Although we should be angred by what these people attempt to do with the Quran. We know the Quran is the speech of Allah and that Allah will preserve it. you know they are just attempting to divert our attention from the reality we live in. i.e the occupation of afghanistan, iraq etc... so in the end we have a little protest a few banners are waved, some shout some empty slogans.. And when the dust settles everyone goes back to their life and puts the Quran on the top-shelf to gather dust.

It reminds me of Andalus when the muslims ruled it for hundreds of years, but in the end when the enemy came and was spilling the muslim blood. The culema of Andalus where in the masajid debated small masaiil of fiqh..its upon the rulers and culema to lead the people if they fail the people fail, thats why Cabdullah Ibn Mubarak (raximahullah) said a very famous statement that is applicable to today;

وَهَل أفْسَدَ الدِّينَ إلا المُلوكُ ... وَأحبارُ سُوءٍ وَرُهْبَانُها؟

And is the Deen corrupted except by kings...And scholars of evil, and its Monks?"

Anyhow akhi Nobleman you might find this intresting to listen to,(if you havent already) inshallah.

Personally i think there is more pressing issues that should concern muslims instead of one looney hill billy burning the quran.
