Racism at dubai airport
Recently came back from Dubai and experienced racism by the airport officials. Man, these people are primitive and so back-ward. I was in queue and was singled out by the black Arab security guards on more than one time. They asked to see my passport while the same white people who I share a passport with were treated with respect.

How was it racist when it was done by your fellow black brother?

Why was I as a somali singled out on more than one time in the same queue? It was not just the rude and aggressive behaviour of the security guards but there was something sinister about their treatment of me. It was like they were trying to see whether i was legit or not. I replied back to them in with same rudeness and it was at this point that they become aggresive with threats of questioning me.

Welcome to one of the realities of life bro. Accept that as a somali regardless of what western passport u have u'll always be singled out. It doesnt matter.
The longer somalia continues to be focked up, the longer it wont command any respect anywhere in the world. One of the cons of being from a war torn country.

Oxidant has a good point.

Re: Racism at dubai airport
But why the rudeness, don't these people have respect towards other people. Cant they at least just see us fellow muslims. Doesnt islam teach respect. I wonder how deep these issues go in dubai society. if the airport is that bad i am pretty sure that employers and ordinary citizens are just as rude.*Nobleman* wrote:Welcome to one of the realities of life bro. Re: Racism at dubai airport
I have a lot of Arab friends and they are cool. The security guards do not represent all Arabs.

They do the same in Kenya and Ethiopia. And if you complain then you are thrown in alambaqo. Like someone said above Somalis are not respected anywhere in the world today.
