Watch List in US Government Databases

Post by udun »

Any one found his name in the US Government watch list databases (DB)? If you did, please share your experiences. On my end, each time I fly from the US, my name is in there and they ask for my ID and send me to further searches. Lately, I was in Auto dealership and here they found my name in a watch list. I found it to be very weird that here I am buying a vehicle from auto dealership and they are checking my name in some government watch list. It sucks and sometimes delaying my trips and other activities.

They claim that this Paki guy has similar name as mine and after checking your date of birth, we found out that you are not him.

I also learned that it is not only Muslims who found their names in the watch list but ordinary Americans also do. The last deceased senator of Massachutes, senator Ted Kennedy, also found his name in the watch list. It sounds very wierd if they are putting every one who doesn't follow the scriprt in this watch list.

udun, i didn't hear about those lists being shared with car dealers.... next time it will be your neighborhood stat bucks... anyone can be in it. I saw a little girl (2-3 yrs old) who was on the list on 60 minutes a while back.

Bro waryaa, it getting wierd that it will be available to all businesses but having a 2-3 year olds name in there shows how incompetent they are. It is also very unpleasant when your name matches a name that is already in the DB. Some are just too ignorant and don't know how to properly verify if the search matches name that is already in the watch list. I was waiting for this Auto Dealership salesman to verify it for about an hour. After he came to me and told him what he is seeing, I have told him to check the date of birth. There he figured out the difference in date of births. The deeper you live in red neck country, the worst it gets

udun, so what happens if you are on the list? will they refuse to sell you a car? or is it like you can buy mini but not envoy? I know highway troopers cannot apprehend people who are on the list when they stop ppl for minor traffic violation. However, Star Bucks won't sell coffee (joke)
