There are several places in Somalia called XaarXaar, one is located near Xarardheere coincidentally, so I wouldn't be surprised if there is a town called XaarXaar around Awrtablistan. There are towns in Somalia with some very disgusting names, referencing rape, incest, pedophilia, excrement, and whatnot, so XaarXaar is pretty tame in comparison.

I think Xaar has another meaning that probably died out. I have seen it being used along with other words many times to describe people, places and things etc.

I did some research and it turns out it is pronounced differently. Depending on how you pronounce Xaar can be feces or it can mean meel biyo mareen like the bed of a dry river.
