South Sudan might become a NEW COUNTRY after all.


If, SUDAN is divided into TWO STATES...or Two different countries, then SOMALIA can be divided into SOMALIA and SOMALILAND and ETHIOPIA can be divided into Ethiopia and Ogadenia

somaliland is more close to become independent country than qabiil named province(ogadenia) which most of it's habitant call it SOMALI galbeed,

about south sudan and before it eritrea become independent country thanks to agreement between legitimate government of country that they want to be independent from it.

forexamaple eritrea become independent becouse of ethiopian goverment agreed that Eritrea should become Indpendence, and south sudan and goverment of sudan agreed too that referundom will be held in south sudan and if south sudanes vote for independent then south sudan will be independent.

unlike SOMALILAND they self proclaimed to be independent whit out agreement of goverment or legitimite goverment og SOMALI republick which they are part of it still.

SOMALILAND will be regocnice only if GOVERMENT OF mogadishu(somalia)let them go,

^ So, you're saying that "Ogadenia" cannot separate from Ethiopia, but Somaliland can separate from Somalia?

Last time I checked, Western Somalia (Ogadenia) is predominately, if not exclusively Somalis, and the rest of Ethiopia is predominately Amaharic, Tigre and Oromo. Whereas, Somaliland is exclusively Somalis, and the country they want to separate from is 90% Somalis, with 10% Bantus, others.


So, still your argument is not making sense to me.

you can only become independent when the goverment of country that you want to be independent from agreed or allow you to become independent.

south sudanes whit their agreement of SUDAN goverment it says election will be hold to ask south sudanes of they want stay united sudan or become independent, whats come out of that election will be respected both south sudan entrim goverment and goverment of Sudan.

so if kililka shanaad of ethiopia aka somali galbeed wants to become independent first waa inay marka hore ogolaaato xukuumada ethiopia. haddii ay diido xukuumada ethiopia, somali galbeed can not be indepedent, and SOMALILAND too, somaliland will be recogniced only if goverment of WHOLE SOMALIA allow somaliland to become free, otherwise like somaliland,north cyprus and mny other self proclaimed republics and no one will recognice as independet countres.

Kosovo became INDEPENDENT from Serbia, while the government of SERBIA was 100% against it. So, I think that part of your argument is completely bogus. A country or it's government does NOT control the ability of stopping or accepting a region of it's country to be separated into a new nation.

south sudan is chritian and south sudan has oil that is why the westren world wants south sudan to form its own country. while somaliland offers nothing

kosovo is special becouse of former yoguslavia country whichs not exist, like former soviet all republic of former soviet become independent after collaps of soviet union.

kosovo is very very special case and i dont think it will be more kosovo case in the future.

a country whichs have internationally recognize territory you cannot easily divide, only way part of country become independent is AGREEMENT between legitimate government of that country and those parts who want to become independent like ETHIOPIA AND ERITREA. like SENEGAL-GAMBIA
like 1905 SWEDEN-NORWEY AND so on.

So, who has a say in this?

I mean, obviously, not every single tribe in Eritrea wanted to separate from EThiopia, nor every tribe in South Sudan wants to separate from Sudan.

So, in Somaliland, there are the Awdal, Maakhir and the SSC. Do they have a say in this or not?
