Tripoli (Sunatimes) Officials of Libyan presidential palace were quoted as saying that Hussein Haji Khalif Jama (Atosh) who works for Islamic bank will be named for the premier position.


The Somali Waagacusub.com has published on Monday that some of unnamed Libyan officials said after long decisions the Arab leaders meeting in Libya pressured president Sharif Sheik Ahmed has to appoint Mr. Atosh to be the prime minister for the new government in Somalia.

Mu'amar Al-Qadafi, the leader of Libya told Atosh on the phone about the news of preparing him as the prime minister of the troubled country of Somalia.


Atosh, who is from Puntland and the brother of the former prime minister in Somalia Abdirisak Haji Hussein, will be flying from Saudi Arabia to Mogadishu on Wednesday to attend the inauguration ceremony if President Ahmed would not change his mind.


Leaders from Ethiopia, Djibouti, Uganda and Somaliland are involving in a separate persuasion with President Ahmed over who is worthy to be named as first minister of the government.

Earlier President Ahmed pledged the Ethiopian government the position as the new prime minister to Somalia will be given to Saíd Farah Garad.

It is unclear how the Ethiopia-Somalia government relationship would look like if Sharif Ahmed brash-aside the promise and turn into Arab league side.


The Arab League head of states said they will offer each month ten million dollars to the government of Somalia and that financial aid is believed to be what pressured President Ahmed to name Hussein Haji Khalif as the new prime minister of Somalia.

The Arabs Summit has promised $120 a year for Somalia, and want someone they can trust as Prime Minister so they send Hussein Haji Khalif Jama (Atosh) who works as a manager for Islamic bank.
