No long face. Shabaab has to be dethroned. About time Somalia was a state.

 WTF

I'm weighing my options on who to side with at the moment. I would like to return to a secular Somalia one day and the warlords guarantee that but Al-Shabaab liberated my family farms and the warlords are gonna steal it back. Decisions, decisions...

BELED HAWO (Sh. M. Network) – Many government soldiers with armed vehicles led by Barre Aden Shir (Hirale), a Somali MP took over the control of Balad-hawo town in southwestern Somalia completely, just after hours of bitter fighting between Al-shabab and troops there, witnesses told Shabelle radio on Sunday.

Reports say that the clash between the government troops and Al-shabab fighters started at Makariya village in out of Balad-hawo town in southern Somalia and lastly seized the control of the town from Al-shabab forces who controlled the town earlier.

Locals said that three of the warring sides were killed in the fighting adding that many others were wounded as most of Shabab fighters left the town.

Both the government troops and Al-shabab had used heavy weapons in the fighting that could be heard all directions in the area.

Al-shabab administration had controlled the town for about a year.

The real casualties of the fighting are unclear so far.

Mr. Barre and his troops had reportedly left from Dolow town in the same region and plan to take over the control of Balad-Hawo town of Gedo region.

On the other hand more Kenyan troops had been deployed to Mandere, a town in the border between Kenya and Somalia for reasons to tighten the security of the border.

For more we shall keep updating you for any further details about the news as soon as possible.
