Actually the worst part of that road is between kalabaydh and Dila. Laamida wada googa’na drives you nuts.

Did they pave the road between the city and Camuud University?
I used to walk there almost every afternoon on my way to beeraha Dhamuug/dooxa camuud to get Saytuun (Guava)..my favorite fruit

I forget yopu were qoti.

Let me break it down for you saaxiib.

This road just finished connects Dila to boorama. Hence, Al though both Dilla and Camuud are both east of Boorama, there are huge mountains that divide Dila and Camuud. In Amy estimation, any road to Camuud University has to come from Borama In other words, they have to build two different roads, one Dila to borama in conjunction of the main road from Hrgeisa and the one from Boorama to Camuud (2 to 3 KMs)

looool

got it!

So the road to camuud has to be seperate? I see. The area is too mountainous which is a problem for roads. Inshallah may Allah help them

Dhaga, I'm guessing people driving to djibouti from hargeisa don't travel through this route right. I remember ina baxar saying that the car drives northwards from gabiley towards xeebta.

Rural, is there a road from borama to saylac?

Cumar the road from Borama to Saylac exists but it is very bad and dangerous. Somebody told me once you pass Hariirad you reach buurta libaaxley and then it is a series of mountain ranges and then you go past banka giriyaad which is very bad for cars and the snakes there are very poisonous thats why it is called banka giriyaad (the plains of death).

The better option would be the coastal route im guessing but i think dhaga bacayl would know more than me.

Yes, that is correct.

I don' think they need too many roads there.

They really need to do something about the city. There is only one paved road in the whole city and there are no sufficient spaces to build others. Borama is congested I couldn't believe my eyes. People built houses in the middle of the road and front of the government offices.

Don't you know they have to use SUV as a local transportation in Borama? The whole city is built on top of the mountain except SEERAHA. It makes small cars and buses movements almost impossible.

Cumar laba,

Not that I traveled to Djibouti by car but I heard small SUVs go through the coast and the trucks go down on the maintain side like they always did. My family is into trucking business and I heard those trucks have to be serviced at least twice a month because of the unforgiving road.
Like road between Borama to Saylac is also rough and harsh.

My next time around, I want to take a land cruiser from Djibouti to Hargeisa. From of mine did that and he enjoyed the scenery.

Wallahi thats sad to hear. I dont think borama was a suitable location for a big city, i think any other place would have been better geographically even dilla or baki.

I agree with you there 100%. Never seen Baki but Dila is amazing looking place. Even the valley of Camuud area along the river all the way to OLD camuud is flat land that is better suitable for urbanities.
