wasting our time for.....

long before tv, comp., video games, long before any modern technology existed---actually long before anybody existed except prophet adam (asw) and after, till today, the value of time has always been universal regardless of the religious differencies that we find across the globe. so if this was the case in the 2nd century for the people in the arabian desert, what the heck is going on with us (somalis). i sometimes go to the local somali coffee shop and what i find there always amazes me, if not makes me uneasy. why? because i see young somalis, a dozen or so, in the coffee shop doing nothing but watching replays of soccer matches and acting as though they have no other better things to do. aren't they supposed to be in high school, college or working? those are some of the questions i ask myself every day!!! i don't know their circumcstances, but what i know for sure is that they are wasting their time and thus making us less productive and less competitive in the future as a nation. i am no better than them. but i am just wondering when or if we ever will understand the value of time!!!

It is much better to volunteer @ your local library, salvation army, homeless shelters, etc than sit and talk about sports or muse sudi all day long
