The Net Generation & Handwriting
Some people argue that kids these days have lost the art of penmanship and that most of them could not write legibly. I disagree with that argument and think that good handwriting is natural. But what would an old codger like me know, eh? So, I put it to you, O wretched assortment of teenagers and students; is your handwriting any good and when was the last time you had to use a pen?

So you mean you hardly ever use a pen?
Somebody find me a student please. They probably take notes during their lectures.
By the way, that Arabic writing you posted, I heard that hyper writes like that when he's angry.

Everything is by learning, when kids are taught at early age how to properly hold the pen and the right way to write, later on for them, it will be as easy as counting from 1 to 10.

That's if you're talking about learning to write. How else do you explain that some people have better handwriting than others?Navy9 wrote:Paddington Bear wrote:Some people argue that kids these days have lost the art of penmanship and that most of them could not write legibly. Hyper, there are lots of companies that insist on handwritten cover letters to accompany any job applications. Many of the elite universities also insist on such a requirement.
By the way, how do you write essays in exams these days?

My hand writing in arabic is beautiful or atleast it used to be, since I don't write in arabic anymore, but my hand writing in English is not so flattering, and yes I do use a pen everyday due to work, but we are going paperless soon, can't wait.

Navy, so you say there is nothing natural about great handwriting, it's all in the work put in?
