What's the point of attacking the city if they couldn't control or stay permanently?

Are we disputing that there are countless Mareexaan warriors in Al-Shabaab? Brother, I want and pray the best for my fellow Mareexaans but let us get real here, Soomaaliya is in transition and it looks like the old mentality of fighting for a clan is departing and self interest and alliances based on ideology have started to take root.
