SOMALILAND: President expected to travel to Djibouti
Comments (6)
HARGEISA (SomalilandPress) — President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud is expected to travel to Djibouti this Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010 as his first foreign trip since taking office last July. It was two weeks ago when Somaliland’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Mohamed Abdillahi Omar visited Djibouti where he held a meeting with President Ismail Omar Guelleh.
Many of the neighboring countries were competing to play host to President Ahmed Mohamed Silanyo’s first foreign trip ever since he became the head of state. This trip is seen as a sign of importance and the historical fraternal ties that bind the two neighboring nations.

The Protocol of Djibouti dictate's that either the President or PM alway's welcome the head of state and alway's the national anthem's of the Visiting entourage is Played. Plus even the Powerless Sheik Dalxiis get's some part's of the city shut down for his visit's, clearly no one in Djibouti is even aware of his presence.

Good thing he didn't visit Ethiopia first. I commend this administration for sorting out internal affairs first before visiting other states wearing nice suits. Three months of horumar in Somaliland (including the taxes in Berbera not going straight to madaxtooyida anymore, handling the ssc issue very well through dialogue with the local elders, opening another terminal in Berbera, Borama and Burco airport being opened and development following suit) and then not following the usual protocol of somali leaders by visiting zenawi within a couple of weeks of being elected, or 'selected' in other parts.
Well done, alhough it's not so surprising that executive is trying to find a fault in this visit
