In what Somali city would equate Wardheer in terms of size? Garoowe perhaps?

See how the Wayane burned the city from all sides and prevent it from expanding. Meles doesn't want to see big and expanding Ogaden cities because he would lose grip on the populace.

Hard to compare. Two different styles of infrastructure. Wardheer has the same layout as Goldogob, Cabudwaaq, Las Canood. Garoowe has a post-Soviet square structured layout so we can't even put them side by side. Compare Wardheer to similar-styled cities for better analysis, I say its equal to Goldogob & Cabudwaaq, but smaller than Las Canood. Its probably the same as Garowe size wise but they can't be compared easily due to structural differences.

Historically Wardheer was bigger than Garoowe, Gaal-Kacyo and Boosaaso. But stagnation my friend. It has the same layout and infrastructure as in 1980s. Caabud-Waaq has grown a lot but you can't compare it to Wardheer.

Yeah, looking at it again Wardheer is pretty big, probably the same as Las Caanood on that image - BUT the Wardheer image is from 2007, the Las Canood image is from 2004, and the Garowe image is from 2003. I know Garowe at least grew to three times its size since 2003, and in the google images it looks to be bigger and has larger buildings than Wardheer. Either way, Wardheer looks terrible, it needs town planning, is there even a mayor for the city?
