Re: My Voltage Prediction - THE ULTIMATE FATE OF SOMALIA!
Why do you project your insecurities onto others?
You fear alshabab and you rightly should but why drag us into every usless conversation and crackpot theory...
As i said before the only marginal threat to somaliland was the Islamic courts, not becuase of the millitary force,
we could have matched them easily and the logistics were on side.
In 2006 Somaliland was more worried about the consequences of a Puntland collapse and how they could exploit it.
The riyale government did not fear the IUC becuase of thier millitary strenght, they were feared becuase they were attractive to the population of Somaliland.
with the right conditions the entire somaliland could have turned IUC overnight..
Now the al shabab are a bunch of extremists in the south, and their supporters are tiny group that are hiding in the shadows afraid of showing any support all.
compare this to the sympathy and support shown by your average farax in the streets of burco and hargiesa for the Islamic courts.
Let me repeat this Alshabab and any other southern nonesense is your business, please stay out of Somaliland

What's Kismayo like? Is it relatively peaceful?
I dont like how Western media outlets is portraying Somalia as a war torn country [we are to an extend, but its vastly exaggerated] when in fact its only Mogadishu and the surrounding areas which is in conflict. The North is peaceful and there is a functioning society up there.
The situation in Sudan is just as bad, if not worse, than Somalia, but they are not described as a "war torn" country.

The country is named a war torn country because everyday somewhere in Somalia, you can hear bullets, see lootings and other criminial activites. Therefore they call it war 'torn' country because there is no fuctioning government, I mean the current central government (TFG) does not have any say of the whole country expect the 4km land they control.Beenaale_No1 wrote:What's Kismayo like? May ALLah return peace to Somalia amiin

Kismaayo might be peacefull right now but there is many bad things going on their behind the curtain. It was in a good state when Adeer Barre Hiiraale was in control.

Lol, I've always thought the same thing. Tbh, the only really troublesome place in somalia today is Mogadishu and some of the regions in the far south. There's plenty of places for investment and rebuilding infrastructure. If the capital was moved into Hargeisa for instance, I think it would change somalias image slightly from the usual pictures of lawless Mogadishu and it's bullet-peppered ruins.Beenaale_No1 wrote:What's Kismayo like? The Sudanese can't be as stupid as Somalis. They got oil. BTW, Don't believe what you hear about the referendum. The South wants to remain with the North. If they become seperate, things would be so complicated for them.Beenaale_No1 wrote:What's Kismayo like? Is it relatively peaceful?

Re: My Voltage Prediction - THE ULTIMATE FATE OF SOMALIA!
A South Sudan and North Sudan would further destabilise the region and also leave it open to foreign manipulation i.e. zionists. It's not like the case with Somaliland and Somalia (an already failed state), where an independent Somaliland would actually provide much needed stability to Somalia. Sudanese are decent and peace-loving people, they shouldn't be broken up for western ambitions.
Re: My Voltage Prediction - THE ULTIMATE FATE OF SOMALIA!
I ran to this thread thinking the monk has recieved some inspiration from the heavens (read ultimate fate of somalia) and all i read is faroole's insecurities and the quagmire puntland is in now. what a waste of space
WHAT HAD MBAGATHI TO DO WITH PUNTLAND?
THE COURTS AND PUNLAND? They wer INTO kismayo, baidoa, mogadishu, hiiran etc etc. none gets mentioned
Instead we get minor skirmishes in punaniland and faroole's life story
TO HIM, PUNTLAND=SOMALI REPUBLIC AND SOMALIA=PUNTLAND
to help you, Your title should have read: The SORRY FATE OF BUUQLAND
