You know, few years ago I would probably have agreed with you on this. in fact, if you recall I actually tried (and failed miserably) to enforce this clan talk in clan section rule. but clearly, we have learned that it doesn't work. it never has and it never will, I just don't see the point in trying to force people to post in clan sections, if you want my opinion(and & i hope my opinion counts for something at least) clan talk should be allowed. what we should focus on is to try and contain the content of what is being posted to clear out the offensive & hateful topics.

somalis breath clan talk..
you cannot limit it in any way..

what can be done however is to be tough on offensive language and virulent clan attacks.

broscr and gurey,

The question is can't we, somalis use categorized forums? I believe you and those before you failed in part because you didn't enforce enough. Go to any forum out there with different forums for different topics and see how members abide by the rules.

It is not imposing. As screw says, the policy has been there for a long time. I won't be here long but I will try to remove clan bashing from the general section while I am around here.

if you want the mods to enforce the rule you have to be there to protect them from those posting personal information. look, people are not going to like that, and they are going to do(what am i talking about, THEY HAVE DONE SO IN THE PAST & WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO) whatever is necessary to intimidate & embarrass the mods or anyone they suspect is moderating the forum. they use multiple usernames, proxies & whatever and there isn't a damn thing that can be done. so if you insist on mods to moderate the forum and keep law & order, at least create measures to give them more control against malicious attacks & most importantly show your presence.

War dadkani waa inay bartaan tixgelinta Qawaaniinta iyo shuruucda meel gaara loogu talo gaalay. Dad badan oo Soomaali ahaan inaga mid ahi waxay jecel yihiin inaysan dheg jalaq u siin marka wax loo sheego. Dadkasi waxay door bidaan in tooda haddiyo jeer loo fuliyo oo sida ay doonayaan wax kastaba ahaaddaan, taasina waa mida keentay in la arko duldulleelo badan oo mararka qaar keena dhibaatooyin aan la xallin kerin. Hadda iyo dan, haddii aad xoogga saartaan sidii Forum-ka iyo Qawaaniintiisa loo tixgelin lahaa, waxaan qabaa waxkastaba in wax badani ay hagaagi lahaayeen. Haddiise aad taasi ka caajistaan, waxay hawshu ku soconaysaa uun sida ay haatan u taallo.

Waryaa, scr has a point, if we are going enforce no qabiil talk on the general section, than those who are qabiil obsessed have to be dealt with, these people go all way out.

Abdi, is not that simple, somali people caadi ma'ah, for instance you move a bunch of qabiil threads and by the time you refresh the page there are like new ten ones, is that even normal?
