these are abraaj al-bayt,mekka's newest building,and the world's largest clock tower.it has restuarants,hotels,shopping malls..etc.the proceeds from the building are an endowment for the Hajj.

new york, there is no comparison bro.the saudi military spending is three times higher than that of Israel,yet they were almost defeated by a small shia militia on the yamani border"huthis" until they called for an air strike on them on the yamani border.
while al-shabaab makes the best of the small resources they have,and come from a battle hardened culture(somalia)

With such an infrastructure sprawling up next to the great mosque, the place feels congested and out of place... Damn you Saudi Arabia.
