Local radio stations...

Post by sexy-kitten »

How many times do I have to hear No hands, Lay it down, Right above it, and other shit that they OVERPLAY! on the radio? Bedrock was nice and now I can't stand it. Now that Willow chick is killing the stations!

What happened to the throwbacks(which they play every now and then...) and the underground(which are better than the commercial music they have on the radio)... How about city talents? Why don't they have a talent show and feature those up & coming artists? Like seriously? Is this only happening in my city or is this nationwide? If so, SHIT'S JACKED UP!

I was leaving the mall when some random guy gave me his CD to listen to and his music was not that bad at all, I actually liked some tracks. Even the 5 o'clock jam sucks!!!!!!!!!

Thank Goodness I have my phone/mp3 player!!

Stop listening to power 107.5. if i'm not listening to News radio 820 i'm with the alternative stations like CD101 and GenX radio 106.7.

Yep! Not much talent left out there anymore. I mostly stick with NPR in the evenings and spend switching between different stations the rest of the time. Everything is so generic and the same. Its that way on purpose though. Most of these stations regardless of their location are owned by the same company or their sister companies. That means royalty fees are low for them and they can afford to bombard everyone with the same re-played shit - again & again.

Try getting Sirius radio or check out your school's radio station; they're bound to have something different.

Screw, I don't listen to 107. I'm always listening to my mp3 player BUT you know they run on batteries so I only listen to that station when my batteries are low and everytime I turn it on it's always Willow or Rihanna on the station!

That's the thing though, there IS talent. They're just not looking.

SK

Let me rephrase that again: there isn't much talent left in commercial, mainstream music anymore.

How's that app working for you anyway?

Lol, yh. Me too.

You should get a bluetooth stereo head-set if you don't already have one - a lot like this one:

I bought mine from amazon a few months ago and its been a breeze listening to the app and receiving calls.

Get me a G2 while you're on there too - for an early Christmas gift.

Yes Shanka, I thought about writing them a long letter but then I decided to stick with my music and not even bother! 98.9, 79.9(I think...) Ay, 102.3 was the shit! Now it's a Telemundo channel! LOL
