Str8,
these r not somalis: they r outkast somalis, midgans, lo'jir, former slaves, boon/bantu/tuni cluster, half men half arabs, waraaboos (and probably half men half jinn) who become oromos
to escape from constant humiliation under their former masters ie "proper somalis". They switched when being oromo meant freedom.
Now they r confused!

I don’t listen to music but i have to say, again and again, you guys misrepresent things. How are they lost if they know their tribe. Shantam is gurgura, yonis is gadabursi, Abdi buuh is Issa, qamar is a degenerate fasiq. They’ve never claimed to be something they’re not.

The Silt'e people of ethiopia are of Mareexaan descend (not all but majority that came in the second wave), they trace their ancestors to a group of Mareexaan soldiers that fought in the Ahmed Gurey war.
The first settlers came to the Wulbarag area as traders and possibly as an outpost of Muslim sultanate. A second and better-known wave of settlers came during the time of Mohammed Gragn around 1542. Mohammed Gragn began a jihad against the people of Ethiopia underwritten by the Turks who provided guns and promised riches. Gragn recruited soldiers from Somalia and Harare and then raided the Orthodox areas of destroying and incredible wealth of historical artifacts and taking immeasurable gold. On Gragn's final campaign the Turks recruited soldiers from the Yemen, Somalia and Harare but Gragn was killed in the battle. Many of his soldiers returned to the Silt'e area.
They are the descendants of a Muslim leader who participated in the historic military expedition against Christian Abyssinia in the 16th century
There are approximately 1,000,000 people who speak the Silt'e language of which 800,000 live in the Silt'e zone of the Southern Nations People state.
"In 1992, a conference was hosted in Buurdhuubo where prominent Mareexaan officials (including the late president) and high ranking Silt'e from West Ethiopia. One of men who was part of that meeting told me they counted from Sade all the way to Raadamiir but then branched out.
Generally, Silt'e people are known as wealthy merchants."

I dunno why you brought silte up, but they’re just habasha muslims. There are a few of these in the horn (silte, argobba, harari, warji, eritrean jabarti) Just because they’re a small muslim tribe doesn’t mean they’re an orphan anybody can just come and claim. I've seen somalis claim all these tribes (except argobba & warji, probably because you haven't discovered them yet) The source you posted doesn’t even get Imam Ahmad’s name right.
bareento, whats so special about music? lalalalala da da da da, how does it help us in life. I respect art, walaloo, geerarsa. Why bring in the saxaphone and piano?

Shantaam shubisa claim to be gurgura somali, I've met him and his son many times.
Yes Yonis is gadabursi, how the hell is that Oromo?
Isse not Oromoo so Abdi Buh aint oromo.
Qamar for the last time is Shantam shubissas son, i've met with both and heard both sides.
I know qamars real mom, shes an inlaw to my mom and shes told us lots about their bastered child.
The Dir nations is becoming Oromo? To Oromos they are Oromo, with Somalis they're Somali, so why should we claim these lost souls. Let them stick to claiming somali.

I don’t know much about them, I've seen warji who are Oromo nationalists. But then again I've seen white europeans who are oromo nationalists. What brought me to the conclusion that they're not Oromo is that I haven't seen them counted in the Tulama clan. I believe they are the left over of the now extinct Muslim sultanate in shawa.

^Same region, so there's gonna be similarities.
Anyways we been drifting around this section for awhile, I'm thinking we lost Oromos use this abandoned section.
I'm gonna start posting oromo related topics there in the future.

Aliyyi Oromada this is not another baseless claim by somalis but a legitimate one, I would not even have known about them if it werent for them. They know their origins and will not shy away from telling. Just ask any silte adult if u ever run into them.

Aliyyi is it true the Silte language and the Harari language are similar? Hararis claim Siltes too.
I have watched some videos on this.Siltes could be a mix of people who fought with Axmed gurey, somalis&other ethnics who fought in the war.
