A 31-year-old woman has admitted to posing as a 14-year-old boy so she could seduce a teenage girl.
In a case echoing the film Boys Don't Cry, Patricia Dye pretended to be a teenager called Matt so that she could date a 16-year-old girl.
Dye, from Ohio, has been sentenced to six months in jail after pleading guilty to misdemeanour sexual imposition.

Detectives started to investigate Dye - who, at 4ft 11ins is much shorter than her 5ft 5ins victim - after the victim ran away from a hotel the two had been living in for three days.

The girl told police said she had sexual contact with Dye both before and after she turned 16.

A prosecutor's spokesman said Dye, who was arrested on June 30, also admitted attempted sexual imposition and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

She was sentenced today by a judge in Warren County and ordered not to have contact with the victim or the victim's family.

She has also been classed as a sexual offender, which requires her to register with authorities every six months for 15 years.
'I’m even scared to walk my dog,' the victim said in a statement read by assistant county prosecutor Julie Kraft. 'I used to trust people. Now I don’t.'

Prosecutors say 31-year-old Dye fooled and dated at least two teenage girls, although charges were filed in connection with just one.
'This woman victimised a young girl and needed to be punished for her actions,' chief assistant prosecutor Bruce McGary said today.
'Equally important is that we monitor and make sure that Ms Dye does not have any victims in the future.'
After her arrest, Dye admitted to authorities that she had attempted to make her boyish look more believable by cutting her hair into a short, androgynous style.

Her attorney said his client feels remorse and has 'really learned from the experience'.
The 1999 film Boys Don't Cry stars Hilary Swank as Brandon Teena, who pursues a relationship with Lana, played by Chloe Sevigny.
The film was itself based on a true story.
