We Poor Somalis are getting played.

Other documents show that the US is supporting Al Shabaab, which has been waging a war against Somali goverment since 2006 and has been classified by the State Department as a terrorist organization. The US military documents call the Al Shabaab "warriors for freedom and Somali citizens," and say that the US set free arrested Al Shabaab members in Kenya. The documents also point out that US forces in Djibouti have given weapons to the Al Shabaab and ignored the organization's operations inside Somalia."

this doesn't make any sense? i thought the US was financially supporting the Somali Government? talk about having your wires crossed.

If the U.S Supports PKK which the State Department has classified as an Terrorist Organization and is supporting them on the side, what makes you think their not doing the same with Al Shabaab?

the secular pkk is a good ally against baathists, kurdish islamist, aq in iraq...........alshabab is a group which is at war with the west, get it?
