I have some shares in a startup company my bro works for, I want to diversify and build up my portfolio. Any suggestions?

Iam assuming from the USA. Here in the UK the telecommunication industry are profiting well. Check how well the telecommunication in the USA is and join a share with someone that you trust.

XimanJaale I have stock options in Canada, so anywhere in the world is open as long as you have a broker. Like IMG etc.

What you guys mentioning is not really small shares, I'm talking about penny shares. Ones that is less than a dollar a share.

ok, in that case Vodafone Qatar is an option or Century Link both of them are doing well in the past year. Do loads of research though, play it safe.

Is it a private company bro? If you want to invest in small companies the best way to do this is to find a company you are familiar with or know anyone involve with that company. Like the one you had a brother working for....I'm pretty good at analyzing the performance of companies as my daily job involves this task but I am not in the position to advice on buying stock. Make sure you do a lot research before deciding to buy. Good luck inshallah bro
