guys,
I am about to graduate in Business Admin degree ( only 3 elective classes Left) but found out that Leadership is not my thing. I have been building my resume towards being a prdouction supervisor for 5 years but now realize that I would rather do my piece of the pie and go home rather than dealing with emotions, women whirning and complaining the whole day.
I have no clue about Marketing, sales etc. I only know how to work in a production floor.
Wallaahi I am stressed with this shit. Nimanyohow iyo naagayohow bal ila taliya hadii aad wax idhaantaan.

It all depends on your GPA. But getting a better career will involve graduate school.

You have a business admin degree yet you kow nothing about marketing & sales? teh fuck is wrong wit you?
Get your degree and move to africa. The west is a sinking ship, skinnies are making a killing in africa. Kenya, Somalia, Southern africa is where the money is at right now.

I really can understand feeling directionless. It happens to many students. You are not alone. Have you thought through your electives?
May be if you can take one elective that can give you some kind of practical idea.
I would advice you start looking for sales jobs even if it is supermarkets (depends on where you are). Look for jobs in the high street shops like M$S.
Meanwhile look around to get marketing experience ( I have no idea aboout marketing). Then slowly apply jobs within those shops. For example, the Debanhams and John Lewis etc have Marketing departments. Waxba ha yasin.
But give us some more information of what you are thinking.
But do not worry too much. I promise majority of student go into something other than what they have studied. It is excellent that you have your Degree.
Good luck

sorry about the " Naago"term. I thought I would be fair if I say nimanyohow and naagayohow. Like the feminist and the masculine terms. anyway gabdhayohow, haweenyohow, dumaryohow, bilcaanayohow, inamayohow, and many more,
walaashiis,
Here is my problem. I previously thought being a production supervisor in the medical device Industry would be cool. So I went to work in a medical manufacturing company and rose to a production group Leader( assistant supervisor thing).
After 5 sano experience with my degree almost done, I am at the tip of being that supervisor thing because I got all the qualification that is required in my organization. Laakiin I am not enjoying it even an assistant supervisor. the problem with this production thing is that, you can work supervisor the whole year and one day one husband-wife suffering employee screw up an order that a customer is waiting at the door and the cries goes all the way to the president then you get screwed. I like to be an independent worker where I am not tied to anyone or responsible for anyone. Xitaa I realized at school that Group Project is not my thing. I have to wait for some silly lazy person maantoodhan. it frustrates me.
somali boqor,
sxb Sales and Marketing ma aqaano. I just had one class oo ladhoho principle of marketing which is very basic. sales maba aqaano. I think sales thing needs to be cadaan with no accent. You know how this racists companies would like to send face to sale their product rather than knowledge. xitaa nin bidaar leh uma diraan a major sales.

Yes, there are certain ( actually a lot) of area of employment which is no-go area for people like us ( with accent). Well, East-Europeans and other Europeans get easly any kind of jobs more easily. Anyhow that is another matter.
I am not an expert on career advice but I remember feeling disoriented when I graduated. Perhaps you can write down a list of what made you study Bussines Admin.
I think the main advantage of having a degree is to be able to do any job. It sounds that you have transferrable skills. Use that. What about administration?
Having a degree can be frustrating. I wish I had experience instead of having a Degree. I know some people who developed skills for work through wroking and they are now in a secure employment.
wish you luck

Why bother getting some degree when you can marry a girl back home, visit her once a year for 4 months and just work in a factory doing manual labour?

Why not double major? Continue with the business degree but declare a new major as well in a field you know you will enjoy working in after graduating.
