Somalia´s embassy in Kenya was bought by a indian-kenyan man

Post by Coeus »

The Somali embassy in kenya was sold a couple of years ago to a Indian businessman living in Kenya for 200 000 $

A investigation launched by the kenyan goverment a couple of months ago proved that the embassy was a Somali national matter and that the business man would be brought to court along with the Somali man that sold it.

Today the court ruled that the Embassy belonged to Somalia and that it could not been bought or sold by any bussinesman. The indian-kenyan business man will be prosecuted by the Somali goverment officials for attemting to purchase a Somali embassy in Kenya.

Who sold it? Subxanallah. Why is there so much greed with the Somali people. I wonder if they were always like this or if they became monsters after the 1991 civil war.

edit. Never mind. I will listen to the audio clip.

Walaal the domain was not sold. The goverment confirmed yesterday that the domain was leased in only a five year period. I know its not much better, but atleast its only leased

This very interesting long saga which began many years ago. I watched an investigative report regarding this on a local TV station. What I liked about the documentary was how professionally it was prepared. Maybe if you goolge "ETN Somali embassy kenya" you may get lucky and get it. You will hear from many different sides including the lawyers who represented Somalia. Somalia's ambassador to Djibouti came to Kenya and fought very hard. He and few other men were arrested and spent several months in jail.

According th report, the last ambassador to Kenya single handedly sold the property and took the money.

The show ends with a sentence that will stick to your mind for a long time. A judge put injunction on sale, modification, rent, etc. and Somalis celebrated for the victory. An old man who was very happy with the verdict but bitter about Somalia's current state of turmoil said "We lost a whole country and we are here celebrating for a little house".

The battle started in Abdiqasim's era. That regime and A/Y's took part in the fight and paid lawyer fees, etc.

These kind of people have been running Somalia (or the one street they hold, but international recognition and backing) since last 20 years and even more. Greedy and selfish mf's trying to get whatever they can ignoring the nation...

Interesting story, though.

Coeus

When you joined Somalinet you couldn't understand even basic and easy Somali words and always asked someone to translate for you. And now in a few days you learned the language? There's seriously something fishy about you. Your employers did a very bad job choosing you...
