The Djiboutian government says on Wednesday it will open its embassy in the Somalia capital Mogadishu in the next few days.
After having talks with Somalia’s foreign minister in Mogadishu, the Djiboutian ambassador to Somalia Dayib Dubad Rooble said its government is ready to officially open embassy in Somalia.
He said the new embassy will help improving the, diplomatic, business and travel interests between the two countries.
If it is confirmed the opening of this embassy, Djibouti will be the fourth country that has embassy in the volatile city of Mogadishu where the fighting is rampant between the Western backed Somali government and the Al-Qaeda linked Islamist groups (Al-Shabaab and Hizbul Islam).
