I have been pounding on why so many of our somalis chew and use the drug Qaad.. And yet I have not found any reasonable answer?!! I mean we are muslims we should know better and we know its prohibited or well maybe just some of us do know that its haram to use it.. So many homes have been shattered because of it and seriously we need to do something about this problem for our community and future children. But what can we do what should we do?

Qaad is nasty, full stop. Any self respecting human being shouldn't be doing it.

HOWEVER.. Some men use it because they have to work the night shift in the taxi, to support their wife and kids.. not just for thrills.. just a thought..
