I can agree that the Dhulbahante not being colonized in 1915, its ridicolou that M.Abdullah Hassan controled that much land, understand that Ogaden had large grievances towards him and did not allow him settlement in their land. , sxb Secondly the map is poorly constructed, Taleex and Galkacyo should be much more Northern up and as for the size of Hobyo and Majeertania, ugh :(

Marexan-Dhulbahante Alliance started over a century ago fighting for Somali Honour  :som: my subtribe is from North East Wardheer, Bah Ogaden  8-)

if Darwiish had behaved themselves he would have won with Mareexaan support, but they didnt and many cases of looting of Mareexaan livestock and killing lead to his defeat

yeah i guess your right, my own great grandmother witnessed all her brothers except 1 getting killed by Darwiish and then looted. the sad thing was, they were sent to recruit them and my great grandmother and the fam was expecting them and supported them until they found out they were here to settle tribal feud.  :x

the Sayid he regarded himself as a dhulbahante, and he said himself that Mareexaan alliance was his greatest achievement but while Mareexaan pledged their full support and were in the front lines their homes where being looted by weaker and less trust worthy Darwiish, ending in a boycut and eventual defeat of Darwiish.
