Like I've always been saying, most Al Shabab fighters are not die hard ideologists like the leadership, but rather are poor children coerced into the ranks. They'd much rather play soccer peacefully in the fields than be pawns in a global "jihad" against fellow Muslims and Westerners alike.

So long as they are flying the Al Qadea banner, they are the enemy and pose a real and substantial threat to the nation. The government should obviously try and find methods of getting them to desert Al Shabab, but if that doesn't work we'll part them forcefully.

I rather not bring al-qaida into this. I do not believe there is al-qaida in somalia.

I am always in the opinion of winning hearts of the minds of young people than joinning them in the battle field. Did not you see the pictures of their bodies? so skinny and so young so innocent :broken: I bet most of them are hunry for days while firing guns in the believe that they are helping their people.

we need better approuch, man. You cannot keep calling them al-qaida
