I believe she's already been to D.C. and Seattle, headed to Ohio soon. Trying to raise funds for the displaced thousands she was forced to leave behind as she told us two weeks ago when she held her fundraiser here in Atlanta. Do what you can do to contribute to the displaced & the suffering in Af-gooye; mostly women and children. As little as $10 can make a huge difference. She should have a website running soon with contact information, will keep you all updated.

Dr. Hawa Abdi has concluded her visit to the U.S. and is headed back to Somalia this weekend. Al-shabaab have returned her hospital & compound to her from what she confirmed to us a few days ago at a farewell event. Next mission on her agenda now is to refurbish her establishment after most of it was looted, specially the operating theater equipment. Al-shabaab have also offered guard services for her and her compound, but its still uncertain what they will demand in return.

She's a true patriot, refused to stay in the diaspora as many have suggested, including her own daughter.

Said she can not spend a night in comfort knowing the women and children she left behind are hungry and camped out in the wilderness beyond her camp.
