But technically the somali army got too greedy, they got back ogaden. The soviet union said ok you got it now stop the war and Ethiopia said the war will stop and we got the land. But someone said I can see some wildlife over their so it must be part of our land, so the somali army carried on and went too far that the soviet union said stop and w ignored. So those bastards sent the cubans and we still haven't recorvered. Lots of Isaaqs were on the frontline of that war as well.

We captured the whole Ogadeen. We even captured Dire Dawa. We were well within their territory when Cubans and Russians came

It’s all to easy to criticize now and so on

However, SNA-WSLF should have stopped at Jigjiga and brought in some more reinforcement. We shouldn’t have tried to capture Harrar

Dire Dawa was strategic it was necessary to capture. But we couldn't hold it. If we could have held Dire Dawa we would have cut the transportation lines between Addis and Dire Dawa, meaning the whole eastern part of the country. Holding it would have meant Ethiopia would have to surrender. But we weren't able to.

Yh I heard we went to far we had it all the Soviets were begging us to stop and so was Ethiopia they were ready to sign an aggreement to give us Ogaden and stop fighting.

Soviet messed things up!

They just weren't happy because we were never going to become a socialist republic, they wanted us to be communist and denounce our religion. They wanted us to leave our religion Islam and be like them. We said no and Ethiopia said we will be communist and we will be socialists. That was always a big problem.

The Somali rejected his offer of a Socialist Union between Ethiopia, Somalia and Yemen. Plus, Somalia was a attractive future socialist state than Ethiopia. Jamac Guevera. Lumumba. Malcolm X. Adan Xashi Ceyrow. Nelson Mandela

They say history is past politics, and politics is present history. But it seems same stuff in a different wholes. Learn your weak sides, and strong sides at same time!
