True Ancestors of the Somali People

Post by Yeezy »

Sorry Arab-wannabes but here is who you truly descendant from.

Lake Turkana in Southern Ethiopia is the birthplace of all Cushtic speaking populations.

Here is the Dassanech Tribe. Unlike most of their neighbors who speak either Nilotic languages or other Afro-Asiatic tongues, they are CUSHTIC SPEAKERS. If you wanna see how our ancestors used to live before coming into contact with the Arabs or Europeans here is the perfect analog. The tribes of the Omo Valley are largely living the same way they have for the last thousand years.

The video is amazing. They are pastoral nomads. They wear macwisses and eat caancello. Their facial structure is also similar to most Somalis. And their body structure is also almost indistinguishable from the Somali. Pretty much if you take out all the polluted genes from the Arabs and other outsiders, Somalis would look exactly the same.

Interesting.....the language its seems similar to somali but it shouldnt be suprising since it has been stated already that omo-tana languages are related to somali.

yeah but I'm distinguishing between the larger family (Afro-Asiatic) from the smaller sub-set which the Somali belong (Cushtic)

The only reason is because Afro-Asiatic includes people all the way in Nigeria (Hausa) as well as Saudi Arabia (Arabic).

So in the Omo Valley you have the other afro-asiatic speakers like the Hamar who speak one of the Omotic languages which are closely related to the Cushtic languages (in fact alot of linguists class them together). This type however is clearly placed with the Cushtic brach rather than the closesly related Omotic branch of the tree.

I am not talking about the Turkana people buddy. This is a thread about the Dassanech who are CUSHTIC SPEAKERS. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daasanach_language

The Omo Valley has Nilotic speakers who recently moved in the past couple of hundred years from Sudan BUT most of the tribes are either cushtic speakers or omotic speakers (which until recently was considered the "western cushtic branch" of the tree).

in that case they're not really that pure as you put it ,they seem to be a mixture of Cushtic/Nilotic people , do you have any studies about their genetics and DNA

Bogus claims have been spread here. What are your proofs? You are sharing a simple youtube and want us to believe this fiction. :P

These people look nothing like Somalis. There is a tribe in Kenya that looks more like Somalis than these people they are called Rendille:
