I see dripping irrigation techniques being used in somalia
with the right soil treatments and fertilizers we can easily adapt tilting free and dry farming techniques in somalia and harvest huge amount of crops

XimanJaale, Caabudwaaq is not in Mudug, its the largest city in Galgaduud, we have not been rer mudug for more than 40 years, so stop calling us that, your just confusing people.

samadoon-waaxid, drip irrigation is the future of Somali farming and Caabudwaaq is at the forefront of it 8-) we dont have river but if we keep check on our water table we can sustain a significant scale farming industry. :som:

bro there is a huge lake like pond that called Balikibir several km from the city, during the dry season it completely dries up but during the Gu it fills up and reaches Caabudwaaq and floods the city. there are also seasonal rivers in the mountains of Burgeesoole and Raqo.

Cabudwaaq does not need fertilizer, you can accidentally drop seeds somewhere and a week later see plants growing from that same spot.

google "drip irrigation" its the most economic way of irrigating land with the minimum amount of water, and with the combination of improved seeds it makes farming possible even in the driest land on earth.it would be a great way of propagating farming in SSC too
