This unification is also huge blow against Al-Ictisaam and others who were constantly criticizing Shabaabka. Many Somalis view XI as the military arm of Al-Ictisaam, so this actually negates any persistent attacks that were coming from Al-Ictisaam scholars and actually strengthens the view of those within the Somali Islamic circles who view Al-Ictisaam as group of people who are pursuing their personal agenda.

It is also possible that the war will be extended to the Central, North East, and North West Somalia.
