Somali cabinet ministers have debate about the drought

Cabinet ministers of the Somali Transitional Federal Government have a meeting in Mogadishu about the severe drought that hit in many parts of the country, reports said.
Somali prime minister, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo was chairing the meeting that the ministers had in Mogadishu which was discussed about how the problems of the drought could be tackled something better quickly, Abdi Haji Gobdon, government spokesman said.
The ministers issued an order indicating that the charcoal should not be exported from the country completely saying that it’s part of the causes of the drought that Somali people are suffering.
Severe drought affected most of the people in south and central Somalia facing lack of food water shortage.
5 members were nominated in the cabinet ministers’ meeting for searching and collecting aid for the affected people in Somalia by asking emergency help from Somali community in abroad and welfare agencies, government spokesman, Abdi Haji said.
On the other hand, the ministers called for countries taking part charcoal export saying that it was illegal trade which Somali government banned.
