Doesn't this mean that Somcable have a monopoly over it? Why not split it between Somcable and some other companies?

What is the chance that in time to come SL will have their own independent route instead of dependence on the Djbouti connection?
Also
Has the option to divert the line intended for moqadishu through Berbera been totally rejected?

It will be sea water to Berbera then I sincerely hope it will be underground from all way to towns. Otherwise locals will just destroy it.samadoon-waaxid wrote:so I dont get this optic fiber project thing,is it an exentention of sea ones? is it gonna be under ground cables or on tiir like electricity cable. and how is it gonna creat thousands of jobs exactly? how much money is being spent on it? etc..
It was going for Mog, but it has rejected due to war and piracy. It won't be economically viable for companies to lay cables to Mog because it's war zone at there and nobody's going to pay for it.Cirwaaq wrote: What is the chance that in time to come SL will have their own independent route instead of dependence on the Djbouti connection?
