Could a guy in his late 20s sexually exploiting a girl in her teens be considered a pedophile?

Yes, it's law. Anyone who is over 18 and who exploits a child (under 18) is considered as a paedophile in eyes of law.

Most other cultures - anyone <15 years it's paedophilia.

Western cultures - anyone <18 years it's paedophilia.

Yes, I'm aware of its legal ramifications. But was more concerned with how people view it in general, be it morally or otherwise.

I find its often over-looked and easily disregarded in our society. Both by the victim and specially by the perp.

I thinnk if a 15 year old girl and a 25 year old guy is fine as long as they're both consenting.

The age of consent is considered to be 16 (varies by jurisdiction), but the girl's father can still file statutory rape charges against a guy if he's sleeping with a 16 year old girl, consensual or not. The 16-18 years are a grey area but one full of land mines

Well, my morals are Islam and Islam says a woman can be married at the age of puberty and 15 years old is when she is considered an adult in Islam.

Seems smart as what father would want his 16 year old daughter living under his house sleeping around with a college-21 year old guy or worse some 25/30 year old guy

I don't think 18 years of age alone should be the determinant here, in addition age difference between them should also be accounted for. Any man who has a sexual relationship with a girl who is younger than 25 years of age and at least 10 years younger than him needs to check himself in to rehab. Its early signs of latent pedophilia. Its disturbing.

Well it all depends on the circumstances, I find it creepy when a 30 something year old try to get with a teenager.
