Because it has disturbing parallels with wahabist Muslim education, like all the Somali children being taught every Saturday and Sunday by the macalin dugsi (who often has zero formal education) that the scientifically sound theories that they learn in science class are lies. I was disturbed to find my little cousin explaining to her younger brother that rain is caused by giant angels in the clouds, and when I asked her where she learned this foolishness she said macalin dugsi.

And I, for one, am interested in what is being taught to future generations of Somalis. The generation that will hopefully lead our people out of ignorance and backwardness.

Both.
man you are sick. Allah created the universe and everything that's in it.
You can't believe in evolution and at the same time believe in the Power of Allah.

How can you believe in big bang theory and the say time believe in the creation (because believing in creation goes hand by hand in believe that there is God).

May Allah guide you.

Of course I do. How can I deny something with such a magnitude of scientific evidence behind it?

Of course you are going to counter by saying "but evolution is against the qu'ran", and I am going to preempt that argument by saying that I do not believe in qur'anic narratives literally, but I understand and accept them more metaphorically. The Qu'ran was revealed to a rather ignorant society 1400 years ago, so obviously it isn't going to be a thorough scientific document.

“And He (Allah/God) has created you in different stages and different forms ... And Allah has caused you to develop as a good growth from the earth. [Qur'an 71:14,17]

Great another pseudo-intellectual on Somalinet, searching for that American version of Islaam.

It's better than whatever liberal arts college you go to. At least these children will have a purpose in life, no matter how wrong it is.

You and everybody like you on the other hand will waste decades on a worthless "education", hopefully land a worthless job serving food or sitting like a slave in an office to make worthless money which you will spent on worthless media which will corrupt your worthless brain, all before everything you worked for is turned to shit by the economic collapse.

Stop wasting your time and learn how to grow food and shoot a gun. Do something that matters.
